About the artist: (artist's statement)

The installation for "Poem for the Blind" is based off the poem by Ellis Hunter Loth of the same name. The piece explores questions about how individuals see each other when they reconnect after a relationship has ended. The installation explores ideas of how we see art and poetry, specifically the literati's tendency to be intentionally vague and obfuscated in their quest for a post-modern existentialism. Each individual framed component contains approximately 1 stanza of the poem as a whole, all of which are printed on found papers (some scraps of found wall paper) in braille and then framed behind glass in irony.
